Origin Story

Before I get too far into this crazy little thing called blogging, I thought I should share with you a crazy big thing called Merlin. He's the adorable face behind the name 'Big Blue Dog Designs'. He's a 2 and a 1/2 year old Australian Shepherd with a heart of gold---and a coat that matches my house's colour scheme. His official colouring is called 'blue merle' which means that he is a delightfully appealing mash up of grey, white, black and butterscotch with hints of what I like to think are genuine steel blue but are in fact probably just the play of the greys and black together, but either way, he's one handsome man.

Here's a pic of him in his Sunday Best at our wedding from last fall. He was the ring bearer. Yes, we are crazy like that.
